“For Who You Are is inspired by people I’ve met all across the USA—each with their own story, yet united by a common thread. I wanted the song to reflect that spirit of connection, and recording it with Rissi Palmer was the perfect way to let the heart of the song shine. Her voice brings both soul and sincerity, giving the song a whole new depth.”
-Eric Lee
Eric Lee brings a fresh edge to country music—rooted in real-life stories, strong melodies, and the kind of voice you don’t forget. Raised in South Florida, he broke out with his 2020 debut “Same Dirt Road,” a self-produced track that landed on the MusicRow Country Radio Chart and earned millions of streams worldwide. As both a songwriter and producer, Lee shapes his sound from the ground up, creating music rooted in heart, raw emotion, and the kind of stories people see themselves in.
His work as a co-writer and producer has reached national audiences through campaigns like Toyota’s Super Bowl and Winter Olympics ad featuring “Stronger Than I’ve Ever Been,” performed by Kaleena Zanders. In 2023, his holiday single “Happy Holidays” earned major rotation across iHeartRadio stations. Its uplifting message and inclusive spirit made it a seasonal favorite around the world.
Lee’s latest release—a duet version of “For Who You Are” alongside Rissi Palmer—is a heartfelt anthem about acceptance and resilience. It marks the beginning of a new chapter, with more original music on the way summer 2025.
Rissi Palmer is a singer-songwriter, radio host, and trailblazer in country and Americana music. In 2007, she made history as the first Black woman to chart a country single in over two decades with her debut hit “Country Girl,” and quickly rose to iTunes’ Top 5 Best-Selling Country Artists. Since then, she’s released three independent albums, including the critically acclaimed Revival, named one of Rolling Stone’s Top 25 Country-Soul Albums of all time.
Beyond her music, Palmer has become a prominent voice for inclusion in the industry. She hosts Color Me Country Radio on Apple Music, where she uplifts underrepresented artists, and founded the Color Me Country Artist Grant Fund to support BIPOC creatives in country music. Her story was spotlighted in PBS’s American Masters: In The Making with the 2023 documentary RISSI PALMER: STILL HERE.
A respected figure across music and media, Palmer has performed at The White House, The Grand Ole Opry, and Lincoln Center, and appeared on CBS Mornings, CNN, Good Morning America, and PBS NewsHour. She currently serves as a correspondent for CMT Hot 20 Countdown and is a Governor at the Recording Academy Nashville.
